I'll double check the cable. I tried using two different cables. One cable is the one that came with stereo speakers I use to connect my Desk top PC to my stereo speakers.

Tried a different cable that I know is stereo and different Laptop. Same thing. No steady light for 4 sec. Just keeps blinking slowly. If I hit test and pull the cable from the laptop, it makes a steady sound from the speakers of the laptop. :\'( I can't wait to get this fixed so I can use the thumbs up smilie.

Well, I did get something to work. I did the engine method of programing and the LED light was steady after the test. After thinking about it a while I don't think you really have to do the set up Because the LMA-2 is reading every pulse from the ign box. All you would need to do is Change the numbers in the set up parameters until it matches the same rpm as the tach shows....... Maybe?

No luck with the rpm trace. I have got to get the on/off switch fixed. I have to move the switch back and forth until it comes on, then I put a piece of tape on it and use a toggle switch to turn it on. The vibration must have turned the switch off on the last few passes. I don't know what happened on pass 3-4-5.
