Your lucky I just bought another car, if I had any money left, I'd have still been lurking ebay, and if I'd seen that, I would have went after it like a rabid dog, just for the "neato" factor! ;) Congratulations, hell of a score. FWIW, I didnt pay much more than that for the NOS 3bbl, but that was a couple decades ago. I have another one that has had gas through it, that one was $25.

I'm starting to think that might be a tool for figuring secondary metering rod calibration. Maybe something that Mercury marine used to meter carbs for there marine engines? I know Mercury marine subcontracted there motors out. They would just spec a motor and an outside contractor would build the motor with GM suppling the parts. Competition Products (or a spin off company owned by them) of Oshkosh does alot of motor work for Mercury marine. This still would be 70s maybe early 80s vintage.
