How much does Idle Bypass Air affect mid-range and WOT calibrations? I'm assuming it does but without a AF ratio meter I can't tell how much. The thought came up last week while I was adding more bypass air. Thanks.

The most effect is at idle and the effect diminishes as the throttle is opened. Exactly how much depends on the particular engine's intake vacuum characteristics. Whatever airflow provided by the IABP "leak" is compensated for when the idle mixture is adjusted. If the IABP is very large, perhaps .140" ~ .150" +, it may be more necessary to compensate in the range of the T-slot with a smaller IAB or larger IDCR or larger IJ, follow your nose like you have been.

You need to look into one of these.
