 Main air bleeds to main jet relationship

Dominators from Holley often have larger main air bleed sizes, like .034", than what pros recommend, like .026"-.028". Why? What does this do to change the main jet size relationship from stock?

Also, is the really any difference in a later 8896 annular booster and 9375 1050 besides the air bleeds? Are the metering blocks much different?

I realize the secondary linkage is different for the 2X4 application of 9375, but that does not make much difference going down the track?
