Gday ,
Any reason why a throttle bypass can't be used with a belt pump for an alcohol carb set up?
Still use a diaphragm bypass reg for max pressure but without an idle bleed jet in the regulator
This way at half or 3/4 throttle when the idle bypass is closed we arent wasting fuel through the constant bleed in the regulator .
I know on my setup if i make the constant idle bleed in the regulator big enough to keep the pressure down to 2-4 psi at idle then in the top end fuel pressure will back off slightly.
Cheers
Paul

I have use just a barrel valve, and bypass jet set for 2 psi at idle, throttle open's, the barrel valve closes, and pressure raises to 9 psi at wot.

Gday Jetfast,
Thanks for the reply
Did you use it with a belt pump?
Have always thought it would be a good way to go, just saw a brand new one become available , was doing some reading on them and saw in the bg stuff not to use them with a belt pump, trying to understand why?
I can't see a problem ?
Cheers
