If they are in leave them, didn't realize your location. You can get them out, I made a special too, but it's not easy .

I Havent put in any yet they are just sitting in there loose. After some more thinking i think i might try the stepped down legs first. As that was your first suggestion and some others as well i think that is probably the better test. I was under the impression that annular had a stronger signal strength down low but im not sure now.

Annulars have a better signal, but with that smaller carb it probably doesn't need it. .435 stepped DL would be fine.

I have been back and forth on this in my head. Even though it is a small carb it is still "big" for my engine. Which was why my thoughts on annulars began. It appears that Eric at HPI has done a few 390 annular carbs for small cubic inch engines with good success so it looks like its worth the experimentation. I got hold of my other 390hp so i can use it as standard to compare against my moddified one.
Is there a benefit to using progressive secondaries on the street or is 1 to 1 the way to go? Intuition says progressive would allow better part throttle drivability but my 50 50 guesses are usually 100% fails! I have both base plate types.

Also what would be the reasoning behind a hsab restrictor in the top of the carb and a screw in one in the side main body. As this has both.

Wow, interesting. What does the car or frame rails weigh? That's doing excellent with 270 ci.

I bought mine from BLP. It was expensive. Even worse with the conversion rate. It is well made and although i could probably make one i had to many other projects already. If you factor in time spent to dollars lost on jobs i just bought it.
You in North QLD? I could lend it to you when ive done this carby.
