I have a single discharge annular booster in my carb, I have been told by Patrick this design makes more power but then most others disagree. Are his venom blocks for e85 ok to continue to use if I was to change booster inserts? Or are there better blocks on the market for e85? Where do I get 4 e85 booster inserts and how do I fit them at home myself? I think a booster and block swap should get me where I need to be without spending $1425 on a custom new one. Any advice here is appreciated as I need this to happen before my race meet on the 14th May.

Cheers, Chris

BLP sells a 5104 booster with 16 holes at .052. With a #54 drill, .055, open all the holes. You will need to pull out the mainwell plugs, a 6mm x 1.0 bottoming tap should pull them out. Order 8 from BLP, even if there are only 4 in the venom blocks, I double plug them. Once you've measured the bottom of the well and angle channel let me know the sizes, see if they are large enough. After resizing if needed drive one down to the step, one at the top. You will want all the emulsion passages threaded, 6-32. Also want to thread for a lowered idle jet, link below. Order a box of 6-32 x 1/8 brass set screws from McMaster Carr. You can use them for idle jets and emulsion bleeds. Get the parts together and we can go from there.

Mark, would it be easier to buy blocks from someone who does them right?? Happy to do that and then change out the boosters myself once I know how?
