so i found a cheap 750Hp double pumper waiting for it to lob on my door. i will be building this up for E85 on my 330 stroker. using all the billet blocks etc off my current 650.
the downlegs in the 750 will be changed for annular. highrise funnelweb style intake unheated. who makes the most sensitive insert thats E85 capable & how many holes etc?

so this finally turned up. i was dubious about it being the real thing from the start & i was right its procomp junk. fk me who would run one of these things out of the box i dunno cause what a turd! good thing im junking half of it!
boosters are wonky for a start. plus seller said only missing sec link otherwise ready to use. good thing i didnt beleive it missing gaskets & jacked up tune.

anyways i measured it for size. top of the venturi measures 1 3/8 like it should however throttle plate is 1.75 which i beleive is 850 size. passages line up from throttle to main body so was made with this.weird.

will throw it in some chemical cleaner tomorrow at work to clean the crud out of it. pri throttle lever bent in transit to straighten out. good thing i paid fk all for it

just gets better. looked at bowl screws & shooter screws. thought they looked bit small in dia. tryed some spare original holley ones.yep bigger. can helicoil all them if needed got the kits. smaller shooter screw got heaps of clearance in holley squirter at least.
knocked boosters out. smoothing casting ridge out out & both vent tubes fell out.
chinese junk!

All metering block passages will have to be checked for size, so plan for new mainwell plugs. Float bowls use different size inlet thread as well...

going to use my existing zok/blp metering blocks off the 650.
the sizing im unsure of. the main body has pilot holes in closer to the throttle bores for either idle or transfer slot that aernt drilled. wondering if its an 850.

Was this using race and/or pump gas? What type of carb and application? Always curious... :=D
