OK, because this thread is pretty funny I will jump in.

My name is Paul and I have a problem. I have way more carbs than I have engines I can put them on. I arrived here down a different path than most. I started with mechanical injection and spent most of my time working to understand it better. I can hold my own with NA stuff, but I had an issue. When anyone would ask me a carb question, I just shrugged my shoulders. I knew basic stuff about Holley's, but outside of a rebuild and jet changes I was lost. That is when I started my quest to gain knowledge. I bought a used carb or two an now have about 10. All 4150 Holley's. The only problem is with work I don't have the time to test them to gain my own knowledge of what boosters work better here and what bleeds and emulsion package works best here. Luckily I have been lurking here for quite a while to help fuel the problem as well as help direct it. I have all of you to blame.

It does not help that I am stuck in China for a few weeks and this is one of the few web sites that is not blocked by the govt. :-) Needless to say there are few threads I have NOT read on this site. LOL

I kinda thought I had a carb problem but after reading these posts, I'm good. Only 4 Dominators, a Mighty Demon and a QJ. Y'all need some serious help.

I have 10 or 12, or so. LOL. One is an early 70xxxx big primary buick, some small primary 70xxxx, most are 170xxxx though.

And some ole 3310 droplegs with the spivvys, a couple 4781s, and a 750 dominator. Kick myself for selling a 950 Holley 3 barrel. Going to fantasy island for a moment, with help [hint], I want to swap between a QJ and the dominator [reboostered] on a stick shift Opel GT project. I havent named them, bunch of Holley 94's :wft?: (one of my projects is a '39 Ford convert with a early Olds rocket) 2 950 3bbls, several assorted AFB's, AVS's and ThermoQuads, a 1050 dominator on the FE in my Falcon, 2 600 dp's, 2 660's, various assorted VS holleys, 650 dp with slabbed throttle shafts and undercut downlegs on the 327 in my Chevy II, 4 corner 750 dp on my daily, Reed 830, 800 dp, oh yea, and a pair of large base high choke WCFB's for a 270hp 283 intake I have for no good reason. So uh yea, I guess if I'm buying carbs for intakes that I dont even have a car for, I am definately a "carboholic". :O

After reading this thread, I realize, I NEED to get some webers and Q-jets...Oh yea, and dominators, more dominators. You can NEVER have too many dominators. And I forgot my bike carbs. They count, right? Several Amal concentrics and monoblocs, and a pair of big-ass honkin' Dellorotos with some nasty screened velocity stacks on my Ducati...

I feel much better about my problem after reading these posts.3-engines.....1-car .my wife rolls her eyes a lot these days when she comes in the garage,lol.
