the issue could be in the grid. you must access it with a laptop to set it up correctly. The firing order could be wrong in the grid, or an issue with how the crank trigger is set up. You can't just wire it up and go. it must be set up correctly. If you have the big coil on it, you will see a huge blast of plasma energy. Like a neon sign.

Of cause is the setting procedure with laptop performed as it should be, "by the book" according to MSD .
Thinking the spark is weak for som reason, what does it take to measure the out put strength of the coil,
i know how to measure the coil prim -.016 ohm sec-30 ohm static values.

the coil i am talking about is pn#8261. pull the coil wire off the cap, and lay it next to an intake bolt, unplug the crank trigger, and insert a jumper wire in one side of the connector going to the box, then take the other end of the jump wire, and start tapping/touching the other terminal, tap it fast enough to simulate rpm, and that coil will blast out plasma energy. you will hear it, and you will see purple and pink. welding googles and extinguisher proably a good idea, cover carb, ect.

another thing, gotta have good battery, field of ground, and charging. check voltage with everything on. if it doesnt have 13+ volts all the time, the box doesn't like it, and does not work right at low voltages in the 12volt range. The more volts you can give it the better it works.
