Ok the 1st time I thought it was me but when I changed the bushing in my msd I noticed the base timing changed when I went to reset it. The 1st time I went larger bushing(less advance) and it advanced 2 deg, this time I went back to the same size smaller and it retarded 4 deg. USING STIFFEST SPRINGS I even checked full advance after resetting it and it advanced the correct amount from the new base for the bushing. ATI damper, dist gear good.

I assumed that the base would be the same until you change it even with a different bushing?

Sometimes you ask the wrong question, but it still leads to the right answer.

when you dont have a crank trigger, you will have issues, lose chain, cam walk, gear mesh, all plays a factor. in timing movement. did you try locking it out, and just curving it with vacuum?
