anyone here ever run a oval port intake on a rectangle port head? I understand its common on a BBC. I'm thinking about doing this on a SBM using a w2 pro dominator T ram on a 360-1 indy head which has a rectangular port. Hard to find a T ram that fits 360-1 head. I'm told it adds some torque by adding velocity to the T ram port.

I've seen a mismatch port size run well so many times I don't think it matters much. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't a good thing when a klanger that flies in the face of reason and opinion runs particularly well. If the gasket seals just do it. What about the bolt holes? The W2 bolt holes are in a different location than the standard LA engine. I know of a SixPack intake on W2 heads and it runs well. Welded old and drilled new bolt holes.
