I am forever the consummate proeffectionasist in pursuit of the ultimate tune-up. How do I balance the pursuit of winning with the perfection of getting the car tuned up? The car is so tight, it will run within .01 all through race day, but I am so focused on every little detail, that I get sidetracked from winnng rounds. Any advice is welcome.

Perhaps chess is for you. You could hire a driver.

Hahahaha! Maybe so! My fiancé has been helping me with staying focused at the track, and slaps my hand any time I reach for a screwdriver or wrench.
I just find it hard to focus in the car, because I am monitoring the gauges, listening to the motor, etc. I have said for years that I should put someone else in the seat, who has no mechanical abilities, but is able to drive from a to b.
