I'm thinking of doing a sorta cold air duct to the carb, but not really a forced inlet or sealed. What I know is if I block the space above my radiator to force it thru, it doesn't cool any better and the throttle is less responsive. So I'd like to enhance the cold air to the carb but I don't use a filter or want to use a hat atm.

Basically instead of just leaving it open over the radiator I was thinking of making a U-tray over the shroud or a box and up to the carb. Not really sealing to the hood, but I'll try and make it close. I know I won't get the benefit of it unless I'm moving and less because it'll still mix with some radiator/engine heat. Still if I can slap something together quick! I really would hate to fab something up and change my intake or add a spacer and start all over.

I was thinking of using some corrugated plastic or just maybe some sheet plastic. I can get the corrugated at a sign place but not sure of a good source for sheet plastic or should I use Lexan?

Plastic tubing/ducting might be an option

No aluminum other than brackets.
