 Notched floats

Is it necessary to use the notched floats when using jet extensions or can you get away without them,and has any of you ran without the floats notched and what was the results.Thanks

Without a notched float you would need something like AED's extensions, flattened to fit under the float.

That's what I was using with my notched float in my Dom and 94 (.113) holley jets, since going to a BLP extended style jet Im using a smaller orifice jet with the same AFR...

I wouldn't use them with a notched float, I would use an open extension. But for the cost of a float and brass tube to make your own extensions it would likely be around the same money as the AED extensions.
