DualJet, #17080110, non-CCC. The front half of one of the 'good' late model 800CFM Qjets.

If the APT screw is 1/2 turn from fully seated, is that enough to make it run lean all the time under any kind of load, even WOT? Ran OK if constantly fed with the accelerator pump but any kind of steady throttle was always awful.

This is more a theoretical question. I know the easy answer would be 'well, raise it back up to normal and see!' but I don't currently have a running engine to test it on. I've pulled the idle tubes and checked all the passages, found nothing clogged and nothing messed with other than the APT adjustment being all wrong.

Related question: Which of the Qjet books is the good one?

QJets will do it too when the rod is so low the step on the rod where the metering tip begins is choking the jet. The shoulder at the top of the lean portion is too close to the orifice in the jet.

All of them. But if Tuner decided to do one I'd buy one. :thumbr:

The Roe book should be here Monday. Also picked up two virgin late model truck carbs, 17080213 & 17088041. No, I'm not going to try to figure out why I did that when I don't have anything to use them on. And stop looking at me like that, I feel fine, really. :wft?:

I'd buy a book as well if Tuner wrote one. Tried a few of his tricks and works wonders.
