 Drilling secondary main wells

Perhaps I worry too much, BUT.....

Question for the guys that have drilled main wells larger in Q-jets: If you are not having the whole carb chromate coated, how are you preventing the freshly drilled passages from corroding? I am concerned that, over the long haul, E10 pump gas and periods of storage may cause corrosion of the bare zinc die cast. This could become a big deal in a fuel well if you don't have something to keep the white fuzzys from forming.

I know on my holleys...I have bare zinc exposed in the metering blocks.No issues after two seasons what so ever on E85.

I have been drilling those wells for years (as per Doug Roe's book) and have never had a corrosion problem. I used to buy core Q-jets from my local salvage yard back in the 90s and the only ones that seem to have corrosion problems are the ones that had water sitting in them.
