I was asked by another member to start this, have fun! And by the way, I can stop any time, I'm certainly not a carb-o-holic... :=D

I took the cure this morning.

The twelve-step program for emulsion bleeds finally made me hit rock bottom.

I'm doing nothing but distributors from now on.

I dream of bleeds. Their shape and size. Square, rounded top, recessed hex, and thread sizes. If I have a spare moment I'm drilling new bleed sizes.

I take my bleeds everywhere with me. At BLP yesterday I had some squirreled away in the car, just in case. Then we took another car and I was depressed and couldn't finish my lunch.

I'm in deep.

I have an idea for a reality show, been working on the script for a long time. Going to call it "Bleeding Bad". A secret peek into the inner sanctum, exposing how live leaches suck when they apply their unique skills, do some live cauterizations, maybe put on a tourniquet or use direct pressure, anything to stem the bleeding. If you are familiar with sucking chest wounds, you get the picture.

<Me>: "Hi. My name is Brad and I'm a carb-o-holic."
<Everyone else>: "Hi Brad!"

No other way to explain someone who owns one 10-second street/strip car... and four carburetors, along w/ enough additional parts to test at least three different carb configurations, too.

I also own a flow bench which I bought about 14 years ago for when I decided to get into cylinder head & intake porting for myself, and last year built a carb adapter for flowing 4150 carbs, too.

And, because I don't see going back to the engine dyno for a fourth time, have also purchased both a new LM-2 kit, and then a used LM-1 kit because I'd heard the LM-2s had a some issues which weren't always able to be resolved.

"I can quit anytime. I just don't want to." :O

Depends on whether my junk is actually running (not currently) and how much $$$ I have to play with on new stuff "for the future."

I would say that the recidivism rate for carb junkies is pretty darn high. I just made a count of carbs I have here. One car, one engine, six carbs. Only three of which will work on my current ride.

I have three Dominators. One with a custom center section, one 1050 3 circuit, and one 1050 2 circuit. Plus one 1150 center section.

Then I have one gas 1.50 venturi 4150, one gas 850 Vacuum, one gas 750 vacuum, and one E85 750 vacuum.

This doesn't include the 1050, two 4150s along with another 950 Holley center section at the dyno.

Now a normal guy would sell some of these. Me? I'm willing to sell some to get money for new ones.

Is there a 12 step program for carb junkies?
