This is a 4150 Dirt track application, 750 Horsepower deal

I have stuff out there from 950 QFT to 1.600 AED. The AED works good but doesn't seem to have a real good signal at Pk tq. It makes the most Pk Hp.

I want to start experimenting with my own stuff and would like some input on getting the best flowing body but want the best signal and atomization. So I am really asking what main body, venturi size and booster would you choose?

Most Of the engines I build are pulling close to 900 CFM measured with a Granatelli MAF calibrated with a LFE.

Quick Fuel or BLP billet are best. If you need signal use an annular booster. Quick Fuel has a 1.59, BLP 1.63 Venturi with a 1.75 blade. They also have an extreme 4150, 2" to 2.20 blade...

How can I purchase the Qft bodies, I can't even get them on the phone since Holley bought them?

I believe the Aluminum ProForm bodies in Summit and Jegs are also QFT's.
Maybe Mark can confirm that, the ones I've brought have QFT ID cast markings.

My proform 950 has "QF Technologies" cast into the PV cavity.

Thanks Summit does sell the QFT bodies, I got the part number and I can get them much cheaper through Motorstate. However once I put the boosters in I want it's cheaper to go with the BLP billet body. So that's the route I think I am going. BLP seems like will be a good source for parts.

Just so you know the AED billet bodies are probably BLP. I would use a .600 annular, BLP number is 5105, they have them on the shelf with 8, 12, and 16 hole. I like the 16 or more holes, but with a dirt track car it may or may not want the smaller holes because of higher engine temps, you will have to experiment. Maybe a 12 to start, I think 12's are .059, the 16's are .052.

Thanks Mark, What size do you think I should get the venturi made for my application?

The best running gas carb for big power dirt track cars that I have ever ran was a Holley 850HP main body/base plate with annular boosters. I had Steve Baker do it for me. This was before I started learning more about carbs and tuning them properly. That carb has too much emulsion and air bleed as well as a high location idle jet but it still ran awesome. I attribute the excellent performance mainly to the annular boosters.

I loaned it to a friend one time because he wanted to try gas instead of alcohol and I had a hell of a time getting it back from him.

I have never tired it on anything under 600 hp but at some point I may try it on my crate killer motors.
