I only remembered to start the damn logger on my round one loss, but the AFR looks better. I had the carb unrestricted for the runs that I forgot to log and I was way fast for the index and eliminations. This log is with the throttle opening restricted enough to kill .27 in the 1/8. I've seen much flatter fuel curves, but I don't know what to adjust first. I think the car ran better with more MJ, but haven't just increased it until it slowed. Should that be the first area to attack? It surges at low rpm, like it wants more TSJ or less bypass air. The second log is from 11/18/12. My last run from last year.
IJ .033
IAB .069
MAB .028
TSJ .046
Squirter .040P .035S
MJ 90
Emulsion 1 & 3 @ .028 2,4 &5 blank
Bypass 4 @ .098 in blades 1 @ .080 & 1 @ .066 in carb top
Ignition timing @ 34

One thing I forgot to add:

11/18/12 air density was -949 with ignition timing at 38
04/26/13 air density was -549 with ignition timing at 34

This is the carb that you saw. The only change I made was to the by pass air at the top of the carb. You had 2 @ .087 and it was surging just off idle. I went to 2 @ .080 and it was a little better. Then I went to .080 and .066. I'll probably put another 066 in it for the first pass this Friday.

Use the bypass to set the idle speed, if you need more fuel then add a couple thou to the idle jets or you can try going back up on the t-slots.

Thanks Mark.

Anybody have opinions on the 4/26 log above? It looks better then the November 2012 run with the same carb and a little worse air. I've seen flatter AFR's but I 'm not sure where to attack.
